Happy New Year! Or shall I say Happy New Tier if you’re in the U.K. Lockdown 3.0.. how did we even get here? I know this post on my favourite beauty products seems crazy since I spent most of last year without makeup, hair in a messy bun and wearing loungewear. I did however try some new beauty products and have a few old favourites I want to recommend.
I’m not sure if it was a common thing, but I just kept breaking out in spots last year. My skin hadn’t done that for years. I thought it could be from the lack of natural air from being indoors, or wearing the masks. Either way I tried hard to find some skincare products that would help.
My Top Beauty Products
Alya Skin Pink Clay Mask
One skincare product that has particularly helped, and one I’m thankful for is the Alya Skin Pink Clay mask. I was kindly gifted this from the company, however when I used it I noticed my skin looked a lot clearer and brighter. I just apply onto clean skin for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash off.
Simple Triple Protect Moisturiser SPF 30
The second product I would recommend is the Simple triple protect moisturiser SPF 30. I personally love Simple products as they’ve always helped with my skin. This product helps with blue light which is perfect when staring at a screen all day, pollution and SPF rays. I apply every morning as watching tv and staring at the phone or laptop can be tiring on the skin.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
The next product I swear by and always helps my skin is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. If you’ve not tried this product you might be thinking it’s a little bit on the pricey side, it is definitely worth the spend though. My skin feels incredible after and has a beautiful natural glow. I apply both in the morning and at night.
Pixi Glow Tonic
My all time favourite tonic is the Pixi Glow Tonic. I’ll forever recommend this product and say how much I love it. My skin looks so much brighter after using this and just feels fresh and awake. I use this product for both my morning and evening routine. I just love the Pixi skincare range.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation
As I mentioned earlier I’ve hardly been wearing makeup. On the odd occasions when I did, I loved using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless foundation. I used to swear by the Estee Lauder Double Wear and had done for years, but I feel that Charlotte Tilbury has now replaced that. It makes my skin look so natural and healthy, it also feels weightless too.
Coco Chanel Mademoiselle
Moving on to perfume next and there’s no doubt about it that my absolute favourite is still the Chanel Mademoiselle. It’s just a gorgeous scent that smells fresh and strong. The bottle is stunning too and looks perfect on the dresser.
Bodyshop Chinese Ginseng & Rice Mask
If there is one face mask I always go back to, it’s the Bodyshop Chinese Ginseng and Rice clarifying polishing mask. My skin always feels so soft and looks brighter after using this, not to mention it smells really nice too. The small flakes that are in the mask help to exfoliate skin getting rid of dry patches and smoothing out the texture. I have bad pores also and feel like this mask helps minimise them.
These are my current favourite products which mostly seem to be skincare. What products are you absolutely loving at the moment and what has made your skin feel incredible during lockdown?
